The Legion of Honor Order of the Good Shepherd


Membership into The Legion of Honor Order of the Good Shepherd is awarded to nominated individuals whose lives reflect selfless service to community, nation or humanity without regard to race, religion, to creed, as dramatically exemplified by the life of Christ.

Legion of Honor Awards are also given in recognition of selfless service on the part of an individual which contributes to the well-being of his or her community, and to a spirit of interfaith cooperation.

This award was brought about by numerous with Chaplain Gerald Green, and various board members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 751, Lawton, Oklahoma and the late Mr. Charles F. Seigler a life member of Chapter 751.

Also considered are the nominees compassion for others, their integrity, dedication to the service of fellow veterans, dedication and service to their local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
